Great Kids and Awesome Adults offers assistance with processing eligibility for SCDDSN services. Once services are requested from DDSN, families are able to select a provider of intake services to collect the required information for determination of eligibility.
The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs serves people in 7 disability categories; those categories are: •Intellectual Disability •Related Disability (i.e., a disability related to an Intellectual Disability) •High Risk Infants •Autism Spectrum Disorder •Head Injury •Spinal Cord Injuries •Similar Disabilities (i.e., a disability similar to a head [traumatic brain] or spinal cord injury)
