Grand Strand

Abby Utt, Supervisor, grew up in Upstate New York and Vermont. She moved to South Carolina in 2006 to attend Coastal Carolina University where she received her BS in Early Childhood Education and met her Husband. Abby joined the SC Great Kids Team in 2017 after 6 years working in childcare with kids 0-8.
Angela Gordon, EI, is originally from Lexington, South Carolina. She moved to Horry County in 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education in Divergent Learning both from Columbia College. Angela has a career background in the general education classroom as well as special education.
Samantha Chapman, EI, is from Detroit MI and moved to South Carolina in 2008. She received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston.
Kelsey Tressler, EI, was born and raised in South Carolina where she graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a B. S. in Psychology. After she graduated she spent 3 years working with children doing ABA therapy. She lives in Myrtle Beach and enjoys spending her time with her husband and two young daughters.
Sarah Shlatz, EI, was born and raised in Connecticut. I am married with two boys, one is 16 and the other is 11. I graduated from University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT with Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. I was a pre-k teacher and kindergarten teacher back in CT before entering into Early Intervention.
Morgan Wicks, EI, was born and raised in Ohio before moving to North Carolina with her family. She completed a 600-hour child life internship at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC before graduating with her BS in Child Life from East Carolina University in December 2019.
Jennifer Hunter, EI, is a South Carolina native. She earned her bachelor’s in English and her master’s in Special Education. Jennifer began her career in public education where she taught both general education and special education. She has experience working with children of all ages.
Kara Keith, EI, was born and raised in Connecticut. She earned her Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. Kara began her career as a nanny and spent many years as a childcare teacher for children under three. She lives in Conway and enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.
Kayla Walters, EI, is a native of South Carolina where she graduated from Coastal Carolina University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. She also received certification in Child Welfare specializing in Child Protective Services.
Sharon Nye, EI, lives in Myrtle Beach with her husband and son. She has a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and an M. Ed. In Elementary Guidance and Counseling. She has 30+ years experience in public education as a teacher in both general and special education as well as in the role of school counselor before joining SC Great Kids.
SC Great Kids is a division of Taylor Consultants, LLC which was registered with the state of SC as a provider of services for Early Intervention and continued intervention for older individuals in 2005.  Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have worked with individuals of all ages with a commitment to treating all with respect and encouraging best outcomes for individuals and their families.  The staff of Great Kids are all highly qualified and have demonstrated commitment to assisting children and their families with attaining their goals by accessing all available resources and supports.
